There was something in the air that day
Something I thought I would never find
A friendship grew stronger that day
When we lost all sense of time.

The snow curved around our bodies
As if beckoning us to be close
And soon your arms found their way
Gently around my waist.

I froze for a moment, as if frozen in time
Never knowing that you would be mine
And as our eyes met, our breath visibly seen
I was struck speechless when you finally kissed me.

The warmth of your lips, the tenderness in your eyes
Was enough for me to forget all my past cries.
You seemed to have known the pain in my heart
I guess you knew the play and your part.

Because it was your love that I needed
Your loving kiss is what set me free
And as the snow came pouring down that night
I knew we were meant to be
